Title: The Israeli Thalassemia Association
Post by: Andy Battaglia on April 11, 2010, 05:28:56 PM
There is a list of hospitals treating hemoglobinopathies on this page. Prof. Eliezer E. Rachmilewitz is one of my favorite people and I have had the pleasure of meeting him at two conferences. He is a world leader in the study of the value of antioxidants and I have the utmost respect for him.

The Association unites all the 400 patients in Israel, Jews, Christians, Moslems, Druze and Samaritans. The primary goal of the Association is to help the patients and represent them to the public and national institutes for the protection of their social and health rights.

The Association is a voting member of the International Thalassemia Federation (TIF) which is part of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Our honorary chairman is Prof. Eliezer E. Rachmilewitz, one of the leading hematologists and scientists in the world.
