Hi Friends,

I wanted to how far has gene therapy trial taken place and how soon can these be implemented in india, any challenges so far.

Hi Girish,
Gene therapy for Beta Thal is still in works with many trails underway. There still no definitive timelines for availability of Gene Therapy as a curative approach for larger populations. Bluebird Bio is planning to conduct some trails in Thailand as well, may be you can look at it (if you are fitting the eligibility criteria).

Hi friends I ask one question I.e
Donor is need In Gene therapy or not and when it come in india?

No donor is required in gene therapy. It is a sort of autologus transplant.
