Hello Everybody

Did anybody know if there is any thal center in Mexico.Huh?
Because our daughter Priya is thal intermediate and I don’t think she is getting proper care.
Her Hemo is good but not experienced with thal patients.

Thanks

Hi Harminder,

I contacted Eva Chin from the Cooley's Anemia Foundation hoping she might have some information about thal care in Mexico. She gave me these two names. I would suggest conatcting them and seeing if they can either provide care for a thal or if they know a hematologist who can.

The docs that I did find, I'm not sure if they have thalassemia patients but
they are registered with the American Society of Hematology:

Elizabeth Sanches-Valle, MD 52 55 52714051 in Mexico
Patricio Alzaola, MD 52 528576

I would also recommend contact someone at that Thalassemia International
Federation to see if they have any recommendations.  I know they used to
have a directory on their website but the directory is no longer online.

TIF's site is at http://www.thalassaemia.org.cy/
