The conference is now listed on the calendar for Suntec, the center where it will be held. There is still no registration information listed on the TIF site.

    International Thalassaemia Conference 2008
8 October 2008 - 11 October 2008
The International Thalassaemia Conference 2008 will be held in Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre from
8th – 11th October 2008.

The conference are jointly organised by the Thalassaemia Society (Singapore) (TSS), Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF)
and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). It will be the first time that the conference are held in Singapore. “Equal Access to Quality
Medical Care for Every Patient with Thalassaemia” is the theme for the conference.

These events have a very unique character. They consist of two simultaneous conferences, one for patients and families and one for clinicians, health care professionals and scientists and are held in the same venue. There will also be an industry exhibition that allows commercial partners to display the latest in pharmaceutical and other relevant products. In addition to providing scientific and medical updates, this international event provides a great opportunity for exchange of knowledge and experiences and most importantly for building up new and existing relations and strengthening collaborations.
