Need help about my supplement.

Hi I am a new member, thank goodness because I found this website, for u'r information of the last 3 years I have been confirmed in Beta Thalassemia Trait when i was pregnant my 1st child, and thank goodness for a few days ago my son's blood results were out and certified by a doctor is Normal. Now I'm nursing a second child  5 months and I have been taking vitamin supplements for my milk full of nutrients. Before this I was never told by the doctor if I can not take iron or other supplements. Only recently i have told by my friends if there thalassemia can not take iron supplements.

This is my vitamin supplements list.

Vita-E Complex:
-Vitamin E - 400 IU
 (As d-alpha tocopherol and d-alpha conceritrate tocopheryl acetate)
-Selenium - 10 mcg

OsteMatrix:
- Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol) -100 IU
- Calsium - 250 mg
(As calcium carbonate, calcium citrate and calcium citrate Malate)
- Magnesium - 100 mg
(As magnesium oxide, magnesium gluconate and magnesium citrate)
-Zinc (as zinc gluconate) - 0.4 mg
-Copper (as copper gluconate) - 0.05mg
-Manganese (as manganese gluconate) - 0.05 mg
- Boron (as trace mineral protein hydrolysate) - 0.75mg

-Total Omega-3 fatty acids, 330mg
-EPA - 180 mg
-DHA - 120 mg

ESP (Energizing Soy Protein):

Do I need to stop eating this vitamin, or to reduce the dose or I can continue to take this as usual?
And for the information that, the supplement i take is ' Shaklee' brand.

I have the same problem as you. An expert say I can take these kind of things. Let along in my case the iron is 4mg. But I have alpha thal minor, while you beta.

Where are you from? You may consult the following thalassemia orgnisations. It is better to ask an expert of thal. I hope this can help you.

There is also an orgnisation called "Thalassemia International".  You can find it out on internet.
