What's it's normal range
Moderate to severe range

I've never had heard of it. What for actually? The liver and heart scan is a good indicator to know how much iron is in your body, I don't think that it's necessary for more investigation in other organs.

I am attaching the file that shows the range for assessing the MRI values for the heart, liver and pancreatic iron loads.

Nomad,

Pancreatic iron loading is completely independent from the iron loading in other organs. The pancreatic MRI is fairly new, but can be an important tool, as so many thals end up with diabetes due to a poorly functioning pancreas. Measuring the iron load in all the organs will help design an appropriate chelation program.

Thanks for the info, it was absolutely new to me that nowadays  they "separate " the organ from the  liver.
Every day brings something new... and that's good!
