Went to the ER last night...

I had such the night...And luckily my husband was there, because if he wasn't I don't know what would have happened!  :quiver

I had leaned over to start a bath for the kids, and all of a sudden I felt dizzy, the room spinned, and I passed out. Apparently, I fell backwards against the sink, where my husband found me.

I wasn't responsive at all, so he called 911, and our tenants came over to watch the kids while the paramedics came. Her friend is a cop, who was visiting (THANK GOD!)

He took my pulse and listened to my breathing. Apparently I wasn't doing much of either, so when the medics came they plugged me up to the O2 machine which only registered at 75%. Yikes.

After dealing with a very snarky paramedic, who accused me of being high on drugs because my pupils were dilated (uh, duh isnt that what happens when youre low on oxygen?) and getting stuck with an 18 gauge needle by the jerk, the other paramedic stepped in and was very nice.

After a cat scan and all the bloodwork, it turns out I have MASSIVE sinus and bladder infections. I had to go off my antibiotics for a week due to some nasty side effects, and was just about to go back on, and this is what happened.

So, I have vertigo caused by the massive sinus infection, I'm on AntiVert (Meclizine) and Zithromyacin. I'll keep you updated...they've released me as long as Im not alone for three days, in case I pass out again.

I guess the point to this whole post is - I havent been on in a long time because I've felt so crappy, and Im sorry for that!!! But now we know why.
