I went to pharmacy today and ask for IP6 ended up she say she :huh do not know what am i talking about. So i will return with phytic acid name tomorrow and see what she says. I reali hope i can get one for my little princess :biggrin

I'm new here...
i'm from Sabah(borneo,mount kinabalu)...parts of malaysia....
My son now age 4 also being diagnose as thalassemia major since age 1. I've tried the ip6 before and it's look promising,I start using IP6 when his ferretin level is 5903(3 yrs old) after 3 months his ferritin shown a good number at 3309.
Normally i gave the ip6 1 hour before breakfast,usually at 7am and using the desferal at 9pm before sleep,does this ip6 got any specific time to take in between desferal?
The big problem now is i have to stop the IP6,supply is hard to get here in my country. the one and only bottle that i have got before is thru my aun which that time on holiday to Singapore. The cost too a bit high so i only manage to buy one.
I really hope anybody out there that got any info on where to get this in my country Malaysia. I.ve tried contact to few clinic and pharmacy but with no luck.
One more thing i wanna ask u all, as for now hospital in my area is out of stock for subsidies the pump,so the doc told us to do the 20 minutes procedure(Bolus) the other way on how to pump the desferal. So i have to sit by his side to do the pumping with my hand. Have any of u having this experience before ? will this way worked like the 8 hours pump does ?
