homeopathy treatment for thalassemia

<< < (2/4) > >>

hopefulmommy:
Hi,

I came up with a research work regarding homeopathic medicine use in thalassemia.Pulsatilla Nigricans , Ceanothus Americanus and Ferrum Metallicum. It is a work of scientists at Kalyani University and few Homeopathic doctors.I did get in touch with Professor KhudaBukhsh over email to know more. He mentioned how its use in addition to HU treatment showed postive results in some patients. Here is the link:

Can Homeopathy Bring Additional Benefits to Thalassemic Patients on Hydroxyurea

The full original article can be read at http://ecam.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/nem161v1

There was some concern in this thread about using ferrum metallicum because it is basically iron shavings. However, homeopathic doses are very small, so the iron content of this treatment would be minimal. It should be stressed that these homeopathic agents were used in conjunction with hydroxyurea in this study, and not by themselves. The combination of the treatments led to better results than either by themselves.

Thanks very much for forwarding the link of this article. I haven't read this before but I was aware of thisĀ  study. I have seen the interviews of some of the researchers involved in this project on a TV programme - about two years back.
