precautions during bt

hello,
how are you all..?
 I want to ask what precautions should we take during bt..
precaution as in using needlels, cotton etc..
b'coz sometimes doc. and Nurses don't take it seriously but it may harmful for us.
i keep telling them plz use fresh cotton, and needle(to prick in wbc filter)
