--- Quote ---don't know if you'll find any multi vitamin that does not have vitamin C in it. I know recently we had some discussion about a specific children's brand that had only a small amount of C in it. One brand is called Yummi Bears. It has 30 mg of C and no iron. Try to find something like this for a good variety of vitamins with some minerals. You can see the label at

http://www.yummibears.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=1&page=1

An example of an easy to take liquid calcium supplement can be seen at

http://www.iherb.com/productdetails.aspx?c=1&pid=7657

It has the basics; calcium, magnesium and vitamin D.

I am not promoting any specific supplements but am only giving examples of appropriate supplements for thals. Safe and effective products that are appropriate for thals are on the market but sometimes you have to hunt around a bit.

Hi Sis , in my last visit i was talkng to my Haemo about Anti-oxidants , she told me that i can take carrot mixed with olive oil as an anti-oxidant and it will be good , when my bro asked to her to cook my meals in olive oil , she told us the same you are saying in your post that i quoted above , she said dont heat olive oil, heating could change its effectiveness.... she said it better to give olive oil by mixing that in Salad or when you are going to give that in meals then dont heat that , you may put olive oil in Meal after completing the cooking procedure ( in last after turning off the burner/oven)......

Andy Battaglia:
Umair,

You are correct about multivitamins and viamin C. However, you can get brands with fairly lo quantities of C...75 mg or less. This is about what you get from an orange.

Olive oil can be heated but not to high temperatures like other oils because it will burn.

:exactly Andy ,
reason wat i got of why doctors says no to heat olive oil is " they dont want to go in detailss that you may heat it not more than this temprature  or they dont want to left a chacne of burning the vitamins and anything thing that olive oil contains and that is on risk of being burnt by heat ...

i think consuming olive oil by putting it in salad or with carrot is the easiest and the finest way to consume it with its full strength of being an anti-oxidant ...

Best Regards and Thanx Andy for confirming that :) ...

Andy Battaglia:
Umair,

These multivitamins you mentioned should NOT be taken by thals. 50 mg iron salts??? Don't even ask. It is off limits. Centra Silver is NOT Centrum Silver. Centrum contains no iron. I can't vouch for elsewhere, but almost every single multivitamin available in the US is also available in a no iron version.

If they contain iron, don't even consider them.
