Hey Rehman, I hope you are feeling well, sorry this post didn't came to my notice.

Its good that you've got control on your iron levels, congratulations for the big victory!  :wink

Well, I see you've positive HCV. Hmm. Maybe take an advice from your managing doc as to what you can do for it. I mean at your current ferritin level, I guess very low dose of Exjade/Asunra may work as well and therefore not affecting liver more. Or perhaps another option might be to stop kelfer completely for 3-5 days and once you start feeling well, take the dose from low level and continue to gradually (very slowly) increase it, and keep monitoring your iron levels. If even at low dose of Kelfar, the iron levels remains stable and gradually decreases and you feel fine for your joint pains, than that would be an excellent way to follow and continue on Kelfar.

Also while you try and manage with Kelfar, I'd advise to put yourself on traditional treatments for healing your liver and possibly reversing HCV entirely! Herbs like nigella and Milk Thistle (I take 500mg milk thistle regularly, you can order it online easily) are both provides an excellent value for your liver.

Also Haldi / Haldar (Turmeric) provides great effect for curing your liver. I take it twice mixed with honey so it doesn't spoil my mouth with a slightly bad taste of Turmeric. You can implement taking Turmeric with Honey daily (twice if possible) and I'm sure that would help a lot as well. This and add milk thistle to your arsenal and I'm sure both would have a very positive effect for you.

I hope you're okay as this post was more than a month old. Feel free to ask any questions!

Best,

-P.

Of course, absolutely!

My SGPT and OT levels used to stay around 110 or so. But after taking 500mg of milk thistle daily, it is around 70 or less (both values). And that is with my irregular taking of those, if I take it regular, it'd be far better around 55 or less.

Hope that helps.

-P.
