wysolone 10mg(prednisolone)

Hi
Does wysolone 10mg(once every alternate day) needs tapering down the dose to withdraw? Hassan was prescribed 10mg wysolone for 2 months taken once every alternate day. Should I taper the dose to 5mg and then stop? His doc said its not necessary but patients who have been on steroids say it needs tapering down. Please help
