Hi,
Welcome to the site! :hugfriend
I have thal major & growing up i was always told to stay away from foods such as spinach& beetroot as they are foods high in iron that thals dont need.so stay away from any foods high in iron. Also i have been told if you have heart problems or really high iron stay away from lemons or lemon juice and dont take too much vitamin c as they are not good for anyone with heart problems.Hope this helps!

Hi miltswifey,
:welcome to the site!
You can search for the mineral content (such as iron) in many food items by searching them in this very useful site that Mr. Andy provided. The link to it is:
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/
I hope that you will enjoy being a part of our global family. Please feel free to ask any question that you have in mind and do tell us about yourself.
Take care, Peace!
