Title: Iron intake for Thal minors
Post by: Ginni on November 14, 2007, 06:39:16 AM
Hi Guys!!

I am 29 and a Thal minor.  Offlate i have started felling dizzy and tired more often than not. Could this be because of the type of food i intake. Do i being a Thal minor also need to ensure to take food which contains least of iron ( enough though to have ample required quantity of iron in my body).

I regularly get headaches, backaches and my body temperature drops to slightly below normal. My HB is 12.8 as of last week.

and btw i also have microcytic anaemin (as mentioned in my Blood Test report.

Thanks,

Hi Ginni,

It is probable that your microcytic anemia is due to Iron deficiency. You can easily treat that by taking Iron rich diet.

Can you check your serum ferritin just to make sure that it is the case.
