as a thals patient, can i get a scholarship?????
-
A scholarship from where?
-
I think Thals generally might qualify for disability benefits in some countries
I would be very surprised if this wasn't the case for most countries in the European Union.
e.g. In Greece you get:
-A small but not insignificant stipend every two months
-Preferential entry into Greek Universities.
-tax free car
-preferential entry into the civil service
-army exemption
etc.
Perhaps eza, depending in your country you could find some advantages.

Well, I know that National Cooley's Anemia Foundation (CAF) gives scholarships to those with Thalassemia who apply, but I believe that it's only for patients in the United States. I'm not extremely familiar with the Thalassemia International Federation (TIF), but maybe they have something similar. Have you tried contacting them? Even if they don't offer scholarships, they may be able to give you some information on how to acquire one. :dunno
