Title: Lower Hb due to teething
Post by: mudit on March 19, 2008, 03:03:05 PM
Hi,

My kid 8 months old has been maintaining Hb levels of 7 for past many months.
But last week his Hb dropped to 6.5, he has been cranky and not eating well due to teething.

Now, can anyone pls help me with relationship between lower blood levels and teething in thal kids?

Is it correct that Hb level decreases in thal infants during teething? I tried gathering some information on net but there are none available.

I don't think teething can effect the hb. However, your son can be cranky due to teething combined with low hb. Please note the hb of 6.5 is not good for 8 month old.
