Title: Cold Spells
Post by: Romano3128 on July 21, 2008, 07:12:09 AM
Hello all!  I know it has been a while since i have been on and I will try and get on more often. I hope everyone is doing very well!

I do have one question about cold spells!   I have been getting them a lot lately and I know it is summer and being cooled off is wonderful, I am a little scared that this is happening!  Is this related to my thal inter or just something else.   Any help would be appreciated! Till next time, stay beautiful!

Hi Chanty,

Poor circulation or low hemoglobin levels might be a factor in feeling cold. One other thing that should be checked if it hasn't been recently is your thyroid function. A slow thyroid will make one feel cold, especially right after eating, and thyroid problems are common with thalassemia.
