I am a THal minor. My wife is pregnant. Should I opt for the private cord blood banking?

My wife is not a Thal- luckily.

Just that, I have been getting a lot of cord banking mail. Was wondering if my baby will have any risk getting leukemia coz one of my cousin got that before.
