Hello all,
I'm in little confusion,
what is better Asunra or Desferal..?
I'm on Asunra since "may 08".before this I was taking desferal and it gave me very good results,
but I have doubt About asunra...
plz Andy tell me what is good..

Yes, Asunra is Exjade.
Anie, my 10 year old son is taking exjade and their are some even younger patients on it. It depends on the individual and how well they tolerate it to determine if exjade is right for you. Regular labs (blood and urine tests) should be done with each transfusion to ensure that exjade is not causing any side effects for you - also patients should drink a lot of water while on exjade.

What is your dose from the Asunra (exjade) and desferal??? On what basis you have judged that it is not good, i mean are you measuring the serum ferritn regularly and are you considering that when taking Asunra (exjade), it is normal for ferritin to increase before it starts going down because it is releasing iron from the tissue in the blood so that is why serum ferritin increases.

m taking 4 tabs of 400mg nd 1 tab 0f 100mg..in 200ml water
m nt measuring my ferritn regularly...m going for M.R.I very soon

I think there is no problem with Asunra, only i have little doubt..may be m wrong
i just want to know your experience of Asunra..
are you people satisfied with it or you still thinj that desferal is much better?
