Post by: kabir_love on March 18, 2009, 11:40:20 AM
my daughter was hla matched with my son kabir so all 5 things were matched on first hla typing we did. now unfortunatelly my daughter is not with us. what problem she had doctors cant diagonse till the time and we coudnt save her. doctors just thought it might be LCH family type of problem (INFECTION WAS ATTACHED TO WBC CELLS AND IT JOINS THE CELLS FURTHUR KILLING RBC ) but not exactly sure cuaz too many subtypes.

we had her stem cell saved before now im worried will they help us now? are they of any help to my son ! and if yes then were should i be now looking at (stem cell transplants) cuaz all i was looking from starting was bmt.

I am sorry about your daughter and just wanted you to know that we are all deeply saddened by this loss. Its like loosing a family member which is always extremely painful. I cannot imagine the pain and suffering  you and your family went through while going through all this. May God give you and your family strength and courage to bear this loss. Ameen

Micky,

The cause needs to be determined. If it was a genetic illness, the cord blood would also be affected. If it was an infection, that may also have been present in the cord blood, so it is very important to find out exactly what the illness was.

No words can express the sorrow.
