I get to know this forum when few years back that she told me that she was so excited to find out this forum to know people around the world face the similar fate with her. On the fateful 22nd April 2009, at age of 29, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. We surely missed her.

Olivia's last post indicated a problem with her heart, most likely related to high iron levels. I am sorry to see that she lost the battle. She was a lovely person and she will be missed.

Although our friendship is only short lived, i will surely remember her. She is a sweet person, always cheerful and fun to chat with. I will miss her dearly...

Post by: Dori on May 21, 2009, 02:13:51 PM: We bought a little olive tree in Italy. It's growing pretty fast and in memory of Olivia I gave the tree her name. She will not slip out of my memory, none of them.

At 3 June it will be 4 years ago that my friend Nazli passed away. Memories about her disease are slushy. My mother says she had thalassemia, but I thought she was giving a product of white blood cells (kind of IVIG). Her urgent illness was not be told so mysteries do still exist. She will be forever 17, and I will forever miss her - especially during tx days.
