Title: CVS or Amniocentesis?

Has anyone had CVS or amniocentesis done?

Is one better than the other? Is it a painful procedure?

Hi Kitkat,

I have had CVS done,i won't call it pain free,but pain was bearable,they didn't even give me anesthesia, and afterwards i was advised a bed rest for 3 days,i don't know if one is better then other,CVS is done earlier in pregnancy at 10 to 12 weeks,while amnio is done after 15 weeks.

I opted for neither. The results would not change my mind about the pregnancy and could just make me possibly worry so I declined.
