Title: My doctor just told me I have thalassemia!
Post by: Paulette on July 23, 2009, 06:23:11 PM
Hi, my doctor just told me that i have thalasemia, and I am thrilled to finally be diagnosed with something! I am a 56 years young lady and have been struggling for the last 8 years or so of steadily worsening fatigue, lack of energy, insomnia, and more, but after hundreds of medical tests, all I was told was that I was slightly anemic, and that my levels were not severe enough to cause my exhaustion. I have been treated for depression, even though I do not feel at all sad, just tired, but none of these meds ever helped me at all. When I stumbled across this website, and found out that thessalemia minor could explain my problems, it was like a cloud was lifted - I am so happy to know that all this is not just my imagination!

hi
thal minor is not a disease ,just a carrier state, treat your anemia first, also get check your calcium and thyroid profile. along with this these symptoms are due to menopause too. consult your physcian again
