Thalassemia Patients and Friends

I am 40yrs old and have been surviving with beta thal major. I choose to live my life to the fullest. I try to stay pretty positiive but as all Thal patients know sometimes it can be difficult especially when your friends that you have known since you were two start passing away from the same thing you have. Sometimes I break down and its nice to see a site like this. Anyone can say they understand but do they really NO but other Thals definetly understand. So again I am so happy to have stumble across this site. I JUST WANT ALL TO KNOW THERE IS NOT A DAY THAT GOES BY THAT I DON'T THINK OF MY FRIENDS THAT ARE NO LONGER HERE BUT THERE STRENGTHS ARE ALWAYS WITH ME.

   Welcome! glad to have you here...... and happy that another thal patient is a living proof that we could all live longer with the right determination and discipline we can live longer and normal............ :hugfriend

well , my story is similar to yours just a lil difference in story is the age  ..

as all of my friends mentioned, if u have decided to live a normal and healthy life nothing is going to stop u....... be courageous, all of us feel very odd about life one time or the other, but the thing that matters is ur attitude to solve any problem  :dunno

Welcome to the site,

I admire your determination. I believe that the forum will learn from you as well.
I like one of the sentences one of our members says, Thal is not a burden but a life style.

Please share your experiences and knowledge with us so that thal can live better.
