The cold is gone but left me with a muscle spasm below my shoulder, from all the coughing. I saw the chiropractor on Tuesday and he gave me a very painful adjustment. The knot in the muscle is much less now, but I am very sore, which has made it difficult for me to work at the computer, so I am unable to do many posts. Please be patient as my back recovers.

Andy,
Please take plenty of rest. Sincerely hoping you recover soon.

Andy, my heart goes for you :hugfriend, i know this pain, its awful. Please take your time and get plenty of rest so it won't worsen.
Just beforeyou sleep, try to direct a hot shower on the spot that has the pain, this will releave the pain and make you feel better. But take care not to have any cold air flow after this. Hope this helps

I want to thank everyone for your wishes. I was finally able to sleep without taking any painkillers last night and am beginning to feel better today. The shoulder is still quite tender but no longer in constant pain. I should be back to normal within a few days.
:thankyou2

Hi Andy,
I agree with the tips given by Manal :yes .Continue having bath in warm water for another week or so before going to bed.If possible you can add little Eucalyptus oil in the bathing water that will give sime relief.Do take care of your health and get well soon :flowers .

Thank you. I am slowly mending but by mid-afternoon each day, my back and shoulder are very sore, so by night time, I can't do much at the computer. Hopefully I can catch up (I want to post in the antioxidant thread) this weekend.

Take your time, Andy. No rush.

Andy,
Lena is right, it would be better if you recover completely first, before you push yourself to work. Later you will be able to get a lot more done, and much faster too.
