Title: Thaldomide (Softenon)
Post by: Dori on July 31, 2010, 11:18:54 AM
Dear memebers,

I just read about thaldomide for the first time in my life. I have a pkd friend who just started with this medicine to prevent the bone marrow from working too hard. This patients hgb is always kept in a very low level. We talk about <6.4gl/dl. I have been told certain groups of thals use this too. I am since a why in the thal community, but never heard before of this med. I have been told this medicine can boost your hgb up.

I would like to ask for all information about this medicine.

Thank you in advance,
Dore

it's orginally a medicine used by pregnant woman with morning sickness

The doctors are having difficulties with explaining the high produce of blood cells in the bone marrow plus the high breakdown at the same time...
