Dear all
How are you all doing, hope you are all fine and stronger.
What do you think is better to have a big quantity of blood ( i.e. High RBCs count ), -but of course associated with high bilirubin because you breakdown a lot - or it is better the opposite???
My second question: After my son took the folic and the supplements, i found that the RBCs count increased which i think is due to the folic but at the same time i found that the MCV decreased (i.e. the quality ) and don't know why????
Got any idea??????????????
Thanks
Manal

Hi Manal!
Well I think that normal level of both are better than extreme levels of either one! I mean, if you have a lot of RBC but they don't have enough HB to carry sufficient oxygen around is useless. Similarly fewer healthier RBC are also not sufficient to meet the demand of the organs. So moderation of all counts is always better than extreme.
Take care.
