  :)Hi, frnz I want to know that is combination therapy of good
How can we divide the days between kelfer & desferal? :hmm

Hello Harsimran

I am currently on combination therapy of L1 (Kelfer) and Desferal. I take my L1 (Kelfer) 3 times a day morning, lunchtime and dinner time 7 days a week. So from Monday right through to Sunday.

Desferal I do 3 times a week on Mondays - Wednesday and Fridays.

I also get a FbE blood count each week , as I have been told bye being on L1 (Kelfer) that they need to get this count done weekly to make sure my neutrophi count is fine.

Hello,

I am on the combination therapy as well. I was put on it last year due to my high Ferritin level of 9200. I take 250mg kelfer twice a day. i take total 8 to 10 capsules and I also take desferal daily the doseage is 3 vials a day.

Hello!!!

I was on combination therapy L1 and Desferal..But since my ferritin has gone down so dramatically, I have stopped the combination therapy..I am on just L1..
I did have to have the weekly blood tests for my neutrophil count as well...That was well!!!

Since the last 2 weeks I havent been on any chelation because my ferritin is a low 157...I have been given a rest from taking the L1..

But when I do my next blood test next week I will find out how many tablets I am going to be taking..I was taking them 3 times a day as well...
