Hi all,
I'm just wondering is there any treatment center in Richmond VA, US and if there is one is it free or paid ?
many Thanks

There is no free thal care in the US. Insurance is a must. I am sure you can get basic treatment in Richmond. Contact Eileen at CAF for which hospital in the Richmond area that treats thalassemia.

thank you Dear Andy for your replay,
I'm going on a trip to there and I will need blood transfusion I think, so how to do that and is it hard or easy ? I mean did they have to make new test or they will depend on my tests or how is their policy ?
Thanks again
Joe

Joe,
Contact Eileen at CAF and get the name and contact info for the hospital in that area. Then you can contact the hospital directly for their transfusion procedures. Also ask Eileen if she has any advice about helping to pay for the transfusion.
