Title: Beet juice & green tea
Post by: DAMHA on November 30, 2011, 12:24:33 PM
Dear Andy and friends,

From my humble experience as a one who has a severe form of B-Thal minor ( Hb 10.5-11.5), I would like to share with you that I found  a really great benefit on energy level with drinking GREEN TEA and BEET JUICE. They really improve fatigue and exhaustion and improve mental power ( not only as anti-oxidants but beet juice is well known to increase brain blood flow.

Plz Andy, is there anything new regarding fetal HB inducers. anything even  investigational?

Thank you Andy and All. :-\ :-\

Hi Dahma,

That's interesting about beets as we just had some information about beets posted by another member a few days ago. Thanks for the feedback.

There is a drug, HQK-1000 that is being developed to raise hemoglobin levels by Hemaquest. The drug is in stage 2 trials.

100 grams of cooked beets contains less than 1 mg iron. It's not a high iron food.
