Title: Wheatgrass?
Post by: superwed on February 22, 2012, 03:34:09 AM
Hi,
I have been reading a lot about the use of wheatgrass in Thal major patients and would like to know at what age can it be given? My son is 4 months old and his hemoglobin is low.  We are waiting for his DNA analysis for a diagnosis (but out doctor suspects Thal major).  Can I start my son on wheatgrass and in what form can it be given?

Thanks!

Hello superwed,

as a Dad of three meanwhile grownups, my advice is, kling to dietary recommandation for children. You might try wheat grass juice first, when your son is six to seven month old. Stirr it into some mash for instance.

Let us also know about your personell experiences.

Good luck
