Title: high blood pressure medication
Post by: beany0908 on May 22, 2012, 09:07:59 PM
I am a senior 69 yrs old and need BP meds, but they knock me out. Its not just being tired, but exhausted I feel horrible. Has anyone experienced this from taking high blood pressure meds with the already low blood count from thal. My count is around 11.5 . Also what is the safest BP med for thal patients

Thal minors are more likely to have low BP than high. Are you addressing the causes of the high BP? I don't think there's any specific BP med recommended for thals. Have you talked to your doctor to see if there's an alternative med that does not wipe you out? Are you taking any vitamins or supplements currently? I highly recommend natural vitamin E.
