Hi Every one,
My One Friend in tiny villege is suffering from Thal Major and bone problems. Having Fracture in lower leg since more than 2 years and no recovery at all and also some other bone issues at knee.( so both legs are affected)
He is taking Daily Care Ortho tablet(500mg Cal Carbonate+0.25mcg Calcitriol+25mg Zinc) Once daily &
Calcirol Powder made by Cipla ltd (60000 IU Cholecelciferol) at every four days.
Having pain (may be due to pus) in leg since some days.
This is worst case.
What should be done to overcome this BIG problem? Any Idea.?

You mention pus. If an infection is present, it will inhibit healing and must be addressed first.
-
Yes, there is a pain also and he is just taking diclofanac only for it.
What should be the remedy for him? Antibiotic? Can u suggest the name?
However , Whether this kind of horrible calcium deficiency is reversible?
-
I cannot recommend an antibiotic. That is up to the doctors. Since aggressive vitamin D therapy is part of the approach, I feel that this is also a big part of the problem, and once the level is corrected and the infection is gone, that healing will begin.

Whether vitamin d injection Arachitol is more effective over celcirol powder? Can rocaltrol be given to him in addition to vitamin d?

When I had extreme low Vitamin D, Dharmesh, back in 2009, I had Osteoporosis and more like a fracture near groin area and extreme bottom of the leg, such that I could not lift my leg also. My Vitamin D levels were 9.62, very very low. I then had one shot of Vitamin D injection and after several days, my leg felt relief and that I could lift my leg up to 80% more than what I was able to do. So while it may feel like a fracture or show like a fracture, it may not be actually a fracture that severe.
What Andy says, I completely agree. My Vitamin D after getting only 1 shot of injection raised to 33 from 9.62 and I improved a lot and after which, my healing process started nicely. I suggest getting injection, but consider or take advice of doctor first.

Glad to hear that.
That definitely is a problem with Vit D now that is clearly seen.
I'd recommend you to notify him to take 10,000 IU for few weeks daily and 5,000 IU thereafter for even better results. Speaking from my own experience. I was once a very badly suffering Osteo patient too!
