Hello I am a sickle cell trait carrier and my husband carries  beta thal I have just had a baby boy who has been diagnosed withe sickle beta plus thal, I have recived a letter from a genetic specialist stating that due to my husbands Poly A mutation my son is likely to have a more mild version of sickle cell, would like to find out more information about this or talk to anyone who has been through the same thing, thanx
