Title: Care Walk 2013

So a few weeks ago we decided to register for the Care Walk that Cooley's Anemia foundation is holding.  In recent news of finding out that our son was thal major we decided that instead of sitting around and being upset about that we would immediately start and try to do something good and give back to the thal community.  Thus far we have organized a fun walk with music and raffles after where all funds are being donated to Cooley's Anemia foundation.  it has been so cool to see all the supporters.  Initially setting my fundraising goal at $250 we have already raised over $3,000 for team Jovi.  It has been awesome. 

If anyone lives in Rochester and would like to form a team or join see information below!


 Team Jovi has organized a Care Walk in Webster, NY 
 
If you are interested in being a part of the Care Walk in Webster on May 5 or in making a donation to Team Jovi, here is the info:
 
Webster Recreation Center
 1350 Chiyoda Drive
 Webster, NY 14580
 
The walk is outside around the building on the grounds. The path is paved so strollers are welcome!!!

8:30am Registration
 9:00 am WALK
 10:00am - 12:00pm Raffle, Bake Sale and Music (local Bands) located inside the rec. center in banquet rooms 2 & 3 (look for the blue balloons)

Thanks for the additional support!  We are excited- we had been looking for a good place to host the walk think we found the perfect place!!  We have some great friends joining us and some fun activities for after.  A few local musicians.......some tasty baked goods....... a cool raffle with some fun prizes etc.  Can't wait!!  What a great excuse to get some good people together!!

I've posted an announcement and created an event on our Facebook thalpal page. I'm really happy to see you doing this. CAF is a great cause.
