Asalaam o Alaikum & Hello all!

I hope you all will be fine :)

I have been away from Forum because of some personal problems Thanks GOD that doesnt involves health problem :) just been busy with other stuff...

BUT! now am back to eat your brains! :evilplan only if you have :flirt

I will get my transfusion tomorrow, my HB last time was 11.3 with the ferritin level 5609 :gaah I know thats too much but actually it was 6000 few months ago  :-\

I was told by my endocrinologist that am having bit high sugar level so I was warned to cut off my sugar-foods, to loose some weight and to take 1 tablet for 4 months, its my 3rd month, am loosing weight and i have cut-down my sugar-foods!

Whatelse? I guess nothing!!

Am sorry to hear about losing many Thalassemic Friends, May Allah bless their soul, may they rest in peace and may Allah grant them the highest level of Janat(Heaven) Ameen!

              waalaykom alsalam oh thanks GOD you came back because the site without you is really not good  :wink ... WELCOME BACK SISTER have a good stay with us..
       regard Abdulwahab he is fine now i think he got flue viruse from his brothers and with his low imunety the CMV viruse start playing came in his body ...but in the end with the GOD guide the Drs in kuwait return him to normal position am planinig now to go to italy for follow up check up ...

Good to see you back. How's Salman these days?

I'm glad you're working on your ferritin level and hope you get get it down substantially lower. It is probably a factor in your sugar problems too.

Is there a national thal association in Pakistan?

Andy yes there is a National level org of thalassemia in Pakistan called "Thalassemia Society Of Pakistan" and here is its website.  http://www.thalassaemia.org.pk/
Society was established in Dec 2003 during National Workshop on Thalassaemia organized in collaboration with TIF.
