Title: Beta thalassemia and hemoglobin DG

My son was diagnosed with beta thalassemia  and they said another weird trait but the conclusions from most of the doctors say it is hemoglobin DG does anyone know if hemoglobin DG  is the  same thing as hemoglobin lupore.  I have a niece that they say has hemoglobin lupore.  They all seem fairly similar when I look them up

Our resident expert on the various types of hemoglobins (Andy )may not be available for sometime .I hope someone else on the forum can help with this issue.

In case there isn't please be patient and check back after he is back.
