Hi.. For those who followed my boy's thalasemia treatment journey-->> FB: JJ Medical Journey
which I've started after being a member of Thalpal for about 1 1/2 years and after got so many inspiration,
motivation and courage, Abhaa, Omega just to name a few..
We successfully managed the money needed through donation and our own savings.
We were able to brought them both to get the transplant at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan..
which was so beyond my expectation and something that was impossible in the beginning..
We brought Joey (4 yo at that time) and Jovy ( 3yo) to started the unrelated cordblood transplantation
and 2013 was a long and hard year for us. Jovy succesfully transplanted and announced engrafted and
he was very good ever since.. Unluckily for Joey, it was a rough & tough year for him.
He was engraftment failure and we decided to re-transplant him for the second time on July, 2013..
This time after 2 months admitted we were allowed to return home to Malaysia after his
second transplantation successfully produced his donor's blood.
But after 30 days, Joey was positive for lung infection, GVHD and CMV. 06.11.2013 ( Wednesday) he left us forever.
I will always call u a Real fighter my Joey! I Love you.

I am so saddened to hear this. Maybe you could have waited a little for more better treatment on the first failure. I do get a nice smile seeing your son (Jovy) on your avatar, he is very cute and I think he must have grown quite a bit by now.
I wish good health to him and very sorry for the loss of Joey. :sorrow

Pratik : The schedule for the 2nd treatment was arranged by the hospital management.
After take some consideration to cost & all.. I trust them all with all my heart so there is no regret..
