Title: Which Multi Vitamin will be better ?

Dear Andy,

Please note,my 17 months 13 days baby have E Beta Thal and already taken 9 transfusions.

Her weight is now 13 kg.Now she is taking the following supplements:

Folic acid 2.5 mg
Vit E 200 iu (3/4 capsule weekly)
Zinc Syrup 5 ml (Daily)
Multi vitamin 5 ml (Daily)
B Complex Syrup 2 ml (Daily)

Please suggest me the best Multi Vitamin from the following two :

Multi Vitamin (1) each 5 ml syrup contains --

Vit A 2000 IU
Vit D 200 IU
Vit B1 0.70 mg
Vit B2 0.85 mg
Vit B6 0.35 mg
Vit C 17.50 mg
Vit E 1.50 mg
Nicotinamide 9 mg
Cod Liver Oil 0.10 mg


Multi Vitamin (2) each 5 ml syrup contains  --

Vit A (as Retinol Palmitate ) 425 IU
Vit A (as Beta Carotene) 425 IU
Vit C 67.50 mg
Vit D3 137.50 IU
Vit E 10 IU
Vit B1 1 mg
Riboflavin 1 mg
Niacin 5 mg
Vit B6 1 mg
Folic Acid 67.50 mcg
Vit B12 3 mcg
Biotin 32.50 mcg
Pantothenic Acid 3.50 mg
Calcium 27.50 mg
Iodine 25 mcg
Magnesium 7.50 mg
Zinc 2.50 mg
Selenium 17.50 mcg
Manganese 0.75 mg
Chromium 3.50 mcg
Potassium 7 mg
Para- Amino Benzoic Acid 0.50 mg
Inositol 10 mg
Choline 4.116 mg


Please suggest me the better one for my baby.

I like the second supplement better. The vitamin C content is higher but not excessively high. I would suggest taking this 5 days each week, rather than 7.

Hello Andy,

From the beginning as per doctor advice my baby taking Vit E Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate 200 IU.
 
Is  Alpha Tocopheryl ok?

You want to use d-alpha tocopherol, not dl-alpha. The dl form is synthetic. All vitamin E contains tocopherols.
