Title: I Will Not Be Around Much Over The Next Week
Post by: Andy Battaglia on September 04, 2015, 01:17:58 PM: I will not be around much over the next week. We are taking a family trip and when we come back, my wife will be undergoing surgery for melanoma. This could be quite serious, as my wife is a cancer survivor and melanoma is very serious if it has spread. We ask for your prayers and thoughts during a very difficult time.

My wife had surgery this morning and has a 5 inch long incision on her upper arm. Everything went well and she is home resting. The surgeon said it looks good but he can't tell us anything definite until the results come back in about 10 days.

Post by: Andy Battaglia on September 17, 2015, 03:42:15 PM: Update: My wife's oncologist pulled some strings and got the pathology report early. We saw him this morning and all of the cancer was removed and it has not spread to her lymph nodes. We could not ask for better news!

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It has meant a lot and been a great source of strength.
