Title: EU Thalassemia Care Center for a complete medical check up?

Hello everyone,
my boyfriend is in his early 30 and we would like to do a complete medical checkup! We live in Italy but we would go anywhere in europe to get the best care in a hospital. What are the best recommended centers in europe (or italy also) for thalassemia care?

Since you live in Italy I would recommend Prof. Dr. Capellini - Maggiore Hospital, Milan, Italy. She is the top of the Thal Doctors

Thank you very much for your answer Nomad! Did you have any experience with her?
In italy there are many thalassemia center and since the largest part of thalassemia patients are located in Sardinia (the big island), I thought that maybe the most avanguardistic center could have been there :dunno . Milan is way more easy to reach! :D

I met her in Athens last year. This year in Berlin and in Vienna. Capellini is the top of the Thal world. Along with
Porter and Taher. You could also Google Marco Biancci he is a Thal and running a association, maybe he could tell you more. But I still think she's the best address.

I googled Capellini and from what I read, she really is a good one! I'll look for that association, but I think we are going to point on Milan :)
