Hi! Is anyone going to be at the CAF Patient-Family Conference in San Diego this year (July 8-10, 2016)? My family and I will be going and would love to meet other families from this site who are planning to attend :)

Hi Syeda,
We have booked flights to go - Lil A will be seen in Oakland prior to the conference. Our only apprehension is the $400.00 entry per person they are charging Canadian patients - which will be $600.00 considering our dollar these days..

I have asked my PKD-colleagues to participate in this conference. Maybe I may direct them to this thread so that they know already someone when they attend?
Sharmin, it is pretty expensive. How much is the fee for American patients?
-
There is no fee for Americans. This is one area where I do not agree with CAF. I do not think people should be penalized because they don't live in the US. Very few can make the arrangements to come to the US for thal conferences and this policy only deters those few from attending. With visas so tough to get, I feel that CAF should change this policy.

Can you please share the updates from Conference if anyone attended?
