				Hallo Everyone  ,
Please help me to understand my calcium levels.

My Ionised calcium level is  4.2 mmol/L and the normal levels are lies between 4.4 to 5.4
Early detection of hypocalcemia is checked from ionic calcium test. I want to know am I calcium deficient and my calcium level is normal or low  ?
 Please advice me.

The chart I referenced said 4.2 is the bottom of normal. I wouldn't make anything of the level. http://www.ccpe-cfpc.com/en/pdf_files/drug_lists/normal_values.pdf
You can probably raise the level by taking vitamin D or getting more sunshine.

Thank you sir for replying and giving the huge  information sheet.

I can't tolerate sunshine so I have to supplement. My D level is 33.9 which is low end of normal levels. I read thalpal and you also told me that thals should have higher D level.

I met a good endocrinologist few days ago. I request him to set a proper dose of Vit D to increase the level. But unfortunately he was unaware about the fact and he tells me that my levels is normal so I shouldn't take supplement.

But  I was starting to take D in 60K/2 weeks for last 1.5 months.
 Please advice anything. .

For optimal health, you want a D level of at least 50. It can be as high as 80-100 without posing any issues.
