Title: Anyone heard of this...
Post by: Emby on May 02, 2016, 08:21:06 PM
Hi, has anyone heard of a condition called Fibromyalgia?

I've read a lot of the posts regarding thal minor and syptoms and this condition is relatively recently known but many people have this condition and are not aware that they have it.

the symptoms are:

widespread muscle pain
tiredness
sleep disorders
headaches
irratibility, feeling low or weepy
irritable or uncomfortable bowels
forgetfulness or poor concentration
increased sensitivity (to cold, sound, knocks, bumps)

'Fibromyalgia' is what your doctor usually writes up if he/she has no clue what's wrong with you. The same goes for neurasthenia or chronic fatigue syndrome. Thalassemia in all its forms is a real condition – not just a collection of symptoms that every human on this earth might experience once in a while.

I agree, though fibromyalgia is not 'a once in a while experience'. People live with it and try to make changes in their lives to live a better quality of life just as people with thal minor do too.
