Title: 500ML blood bag weight

Hi,
    i would like to know the followings:

weight of 500ML blood bag? not yet refilled with blood

weight of 250 ML blood bad? not yet refilled with blood

when total 500 ml blood bag is filled with blood from donor, Red pack cell are removed from total blood what will be the total weight of red pack cells and 500ml blood bag ?

please guide

Azeem,

Usually the blood bag weight varies and the weights aren't checked and written. The normal range of 1 blood bag unit is considered to be 250ml -280ml but it maybe lower than that sometimes. It happens because Hb varies from donor to donor.
