Title: Thalassemia care in Sudan

I am basically from India but currently in Sudan on job. I am planning to bring my family here but before want to know about the medical and blood facility and quality in Sudan for my six year old daughter living with beta thalassemia.

We don't have a listing for Sudan, or most of Africa in general. I would suggest contacting the local hospitals and see if any are experienced in treating blood disorders. If any hospitals are associated with local universities, that would be a good place to inquire. I would also inquire about the safety of the local blood supply before making any decision to bring the family.

I can't tell you if they have any experience with thal, but I was told about these hospitals.  Nyala Teaching Hospital, which is the biggest (400 beds) hospital in great Dar Fur of Wester Sudan and
