Hi everyone, I hear sometimes that the expiration date is just for commercial purposes, or is a date that the drug will be effective till that date ..
But what about Desferal? Cuase i have like 4 month worth desferal that has expired 7 months ago
And the hospital doesn't have any.
Is it safe to use it? Has anyone tried it?
Thanks

Some years ago, Hospira informed us that desferal remains 100% potent for at least one year past expiry. I do know someone who recently used desferal that was 4 years expired and it still worked well. If yours has been stored according to directions and not exposed to heat, it will still be good.
