Title: Can you give blood with thal minor?

Hi everyone, just wondering if it is ok to give blood if you have the beta thal trait? And if so, would there be any complications/should it be avoided?

It depends where you are and what your Hb level is. For example, the US Red Cross has a cutoff of 12.5 Hb. If over that, blood can be given.
