All my life I have always seemed to be hot blooded and I don't mean having a temper (although I seem to have one on occasion lol) I live in Illinois and the rash of snowstorms that have swept into the area recently have actually been a godsend for me to stand out there and get cooled off. Someone told me that it has to do with my Thal---is this true or is he full of hot air?

Most thals I have talked to say that they feel hot all the time, even in winter. We recently had a discussion about this at http://www.thalassemiapatientsandfriends.com/index.php?topic=710.0

Thanks for the info. I went and read the disscussions and I now won't worry when people look at me funny when I wear loose and light clothing. Short of putting my head permantly in the freezer(lol) I don't get too much relief too much and being currently pregnant, it is much worse than usual and I always sleep with a fan on no matter what the weather is outside.

This website has been a godsend for me. For years my sister and I have struggled with symptoms from our Thal. (she is much worse than I am.) And in the past several years my body temperature has definitley risen to the point where I will sweat just by playing my cello! I tried to explain it to my husband, and he just thinks I at "that time of life." Well, I'm not, and it is good to see that I'm not the only one that will be comfortable when others put on their sweaters.
